The scripture reading from Luke this morning (Luke 17:1-10) deals with faith. The Bible contains a lot of scriptures pertaining to faith but this one contains the words of Jesus Himself and what Jesus has to say about faith. And what He says is very short and simple.

There is a very popular and common phrase that we hear from time to time that was actually a part of one of our scripture readings this morning. What we commonly hear is, “Money is the root of all evil.”  I’m sure you have all heard that said from time to time.

I want you to hear about some amazing technology. In this age of computers and memory storage and IPADS, listen to this. You may find it interesting.

Today’s reading from Luke has an obvious message, “Go out and find the lost. Go out and “Rescue the Perishing” as the song we just sang reports. For Jesus, in the setting of Israel amidst the Jewish people, the parable of the lost sheep was very fitting.
